Our Services

At Lagoon Medical Centre we offer a comprehensive range of medical services, most of these services are covered by Medicare. Please note, Skin assessments, Pre-Employment and Driver's license medical examinations, Work-Related injuries and Insurance forms are not covered by Medicare and will incur a private fee. Family Medicine

We provide comprehensive primary healthcare for individuals and families across all ages, genders, diseases and conditions. Lagoon Medical Centre delivers continuous care with strong emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion. Immunisations

Immunisations are a safe and effective way of giving protection against many diseases. Childhood immunisations, travel immunisations, and occupational health immunisations are amongst the range of immunisations provided at the practice.

Health Assessments

At Lagoon Medical Centre we provide health assessments for those aged 40-49 years old, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and people over the age of 75 years old.

Health Assessments are performed by our Practice Nurse and reviewed by your doctor. This assessment outlines any existing or potential health issues.

Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

PRP therapy uses a concentrated extract of a patient's own blood, rich in platelets and growth factors, to promote tissue repair, healing and regeneration.

It is commonly used to treat chronic injuries, joint pain, tendon problems and osteoarthritis, particularly where healing is difficult. PRP can also be used for cosmetic skin rejuvenation to improve skin elasticity, tone, texture and appearance.

The procedure is performed in a doctor's clinic and usually takes less than one hour.
